fal post-trained MiniMax H3 into H3 Max, then made Turbo as a faster, cost-efficient version of H3 Max. It is still labeled a preview.
About 2x faster
On fal's own timing, a 5-second 768P clip renders in 1.54s on Turbo vs 2.46s on H3 Max. An independent test measured a 15-second clip 2.3x faster end to end.
Half the price
fal list price: $0.025/s at 480P, $0.04/s at 768P and $0.08/s at 1080P — exactly half of H3 Max at every resolution.

fal says Turbo targets the 97th percentile of H3 Max quality on its evaluations. An independent test by Morphic ran the same six prompts on both.
Slightly softer detail
Fine textures such as a match flame or a watch bezel were softer on Turbo; the overall look stayed the same.
Instructions sometimes cut short
In detailed prompts, Turbo occasionally scattered placed objects or ended a performance before the final beat.
Text holds up
On-screen lettering stayed correct and stable on both — the smallest gap in the test.
No reference-to-video
H3 Max also has a multi-reference mode; Turbo offers text and image to video only.
